Hi Everyone,
Term 1 Meeting and AGM:
Tuesday 27th January. Come at 9.30 for a 10am start. At Gillianâs place 82 Channel Street, Cleveland. Bring a plate for lunch after.
Fees due:
Annual Fee $50
Term 1 Fee $100
Leave of absence term fee $50
Bring to the meeting in a marked envelope or post to Patricia Screen (Treasurer).
If you are unable to attend the meeting please send your apologies to Stuart Hall (Assist Secretary.)
If you are unable to attend any classes in Term 1 send your info to Pat Marini (Visitor coordinator).

Hi Everyone,
Here are some notes from Metka Skrobar for Term 4:
- The Human Form – Oct 14 and 28
- Day 1 – Material List – Oct 14 – Drawing with a life model
- The Human Form – Material List – Oct 28
- Landscape in Acrylics – Nov 11 & 25
Our Exhibition for “My Queensland” has been accepted and will be scheduled for late 2015. So with that in mind I suggested to Metka that we could incorporate our human form into a beach or coastal landscape. We can also use Queensland subjects when we have the landscape classes.
Of course we will also be having our usual Annual Show and any subject can be used in that show.

Jan Lawnikanis Materials List

Hi Everyone,
I have attached the info from Jan. Day 1 will be with coloured pencils. Day 2,3 and 4 with watercolours. If you wish to work with either coloured pencils or watercolours on any day it is okay with Jan.
Also Jan has offered to order us a set of 3 primary colours in the MaimeriBlu range for $35.50. They the correct primaries for the CYM colour wheel system which we’ll be working with. These paints are considered top quality and are made in Italy (even W & Newton get theirs made in China now!) and the tubes are 15ml as opposed to the regular 5ml tubes by W & N. A lot of well known watercolourists prefer them too. If you are interested, bring your money in an envelope to the meeting on 15 July, and Jan will bring them to Day 2.

Hi Everyone,
I have attached the agenda for our General Meeting on 15 July, plus an updated schedule. Come at 9.30 for a 10am start. At Gillianâs place 82 Channel Street, Cleveland.
- Print out the agenda and bring it with you to the meeting.
- Term fees are due also â $80 â in a marked envelope please.

Reminder: Paintings for Art Show to be delivered on Wed 23rd July at 9am to RPAC. Make sure the framing and/or hanging system is in good order and they are properly labelled on the back.
Remember, every group has one weird member, and if you donât know who it is, then it is probably you.

Hi Members,
We have included below, the Entry Forms and Conditions of Entry for the 2014 Annual Coochie Art Show. Remember, Entry forms must be handed to Gillian by Tuesday, 8th July, which is also our Card-Making day. Please have all those high-quality cards, 8cm x13cm, ready for that day. Quality over quantity, please! If you don’t have access to a guillotine, please just bring your cards untrimmed and they can be trimmed on the day.

Coochie Art Group set for show

Pomo for Coochie Art Show to start Friday July 25 at theb Redland performing Arts Complex. Pics By Stephen Archer. Gillian Rich of Cleveland and Hilary Wakeling of Birkdale.
Coochie Art Group members are finalising their paintings for the annual art show, which opens on Friday, July 25 at 6.30pm at the Redland Performing Arts Centre in Middle Street, Cleveland.
Artist David Henderson, who divides his time between Brisbane and Italy, is this year’s judge and will announce the winners during Friday’s opening. Drinks and light refreshments will be available. Cr Paul Biship will open the show.
More than 60 paintings have been entered for juding in the mediums of watercolours, acrylics, oils, pastels, mixed media and pencil.
Entry is free and the show continues until August 9.
Members of the Coochie Art Group will attend each session of the show and will be able to discuss the paintings and aspects of the art being presented. All paintings are for sale. Cards painted by members of the Coochie Art Group will be on sale and are often bought by visitors eager to add these miniature paintings to their collection and for display.
Opening hours are 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 1pm on Saturday. For further information, contact Hilary Wakeling on 0448 888 524 or go to www.coochieartgroup.org
