We are proud and delighted to announce the upcoming opening of our final exhibition for 2017.  Themed “Bush Fragments in the Red”, it’s the result of more than a year’s planning and working with curator Nicola Moss.  Our hosts Redland City  Mayor and Councillors have issued an invitation (below) which we now extend to all our friends,  their friends and families, and all those interested in art and the threats to our environment.

The exhibition is the output of more than a year of mentored activity under Nicola’s guidance, designed to stretch the vision and versatility of group members.  Nicola’s involvement comes to us under the auspices of the Redland Art Gallery, and has been funded by a Redland City  Environmental Grant awarded to the Group. Redland City Council is proud to provide funding for Bush Fragments in the Red as part of the Community Grants Program to assist the Redlands Community

It’s Show Time Again!

Beryl’s beautiful iris painting is just one of the many fabulous works which will be part of the Coochie Art Group Annual Art Show and Sale to be held at Redlands Performing Arts Centre in August 2017. The Opening Night festivities will start at 6.30 pm., 11th August, with the Show officially opened at 7.00 by Deputy Mayor, Wendy Boglary. Refreshments will be available after the opening and all are very welcome. Entrance is free.

Show will run from Saturday, 12th August until Saturday, 26th August. Closed Sundays.

Our Annual Art Show

Coochie Art Group Art Sale

IMG_20141005_131759_small Coochie Art Group is having an Art Sale in Cleveland, with the sale starting on Wednesday, 8th October and running for at least two weeks, perhaps longer. The sale features paintings in all media and genres, framed and unframed, with works from all our favourite Coochie artists and at surprisingly good prices. Hand-painted cards and the famous Coochie Art Group Cookbook are also for sale.

The Sale is in Shop 17, Stocklands, in the Woolworths side of Middle Street, Cleveland, just inside the entrance to the shopping centre. The shop was previously Forza Menswear.

Annual Art Show 2014

We are approaching RPACreadiness for our annual show, this year with a difference.  We’re taking advantage of a different venue, the Redlands Performing Arts Centre (RPAC), so all of our regular followers will need to know where to come.

This year, the Show will run from Saturday 26 July to Saturday 9 August, with our official opening on Friday 25th at 6.30 pm.

Judging will be in the hands of internationally renowned Brisbane artist David Henderson.
