Your Members’ Gallery has its first exhibitors
Hilary and Ayla are the first members to take advantage of the Members’ Gallery. The Gallery can be accessed by members and the public, using the appropriate menu command which will take you to the Gallery.
If resizing your images is a concern, just submit what you have, and we will be in touch if there’s a problem. Also, if you are able to rename your images with the title of the work, this will be helpful. We will work steadily to include submissions as they arrive, however there will frequently be a delay of several days before submissions are processed.
There is ongoing work on the Gallery at the detail level, so you may notice some minor changes in presentation.
Updated Members List….
The protected page on the website has been updated with a copy of the 2016 Members list for your use.

Bayside Bulletin Article – Artist Kylie Farrelly Tutoring in Redland
The following is an article submitted by Ken.
The Coochiemudlo Art Group has opened its doors to local Artists wishing to
join with them in Kylie Farrelly’s Tutoring Workshop Classes being held on
March 25 and 26 at the Coochiemudlo Island Community hall. Places are
naturally limited by the space available and pre booking is essential.Kylie works mainly in acrylic, with which she incorporates a variety of
media to enhance the textural outcome of her work. She uses a bold colourful
palette to capture the energy that shines from her style of painting. Her
use of tone in her compositions creates a sense of depth and perspective
within her work. The paint is applied in layers of pure colour often using
colours that presenting a Naïve quality .Kylie’s collection of works feature iconic places and views. Fun, quirky and
yet strangely familiar, the paintings take you on a visual journey around
our urban environment. Many of her latest works focus on activities we
encounter in our daily lives with an emphasis on looking anew at familiar
scenes to draw out more meaning than might be experienced by looking at
scenes from only a conventional point of view.Operating from her studio in Teneriffe Kylie’s work in paintings of Brisbane
city has become well recognised and appreciated. The opportunity of
presenting her approach to art in the Redland city and Bayside context is
one the Coochie Art Group has been keen to explore for some time and is
overjoyed that the arrangement has been made to bring Kylie’s painting style
and our Bayside urban life style together.Bookings can be made by contacting Hilary Wakeling . 0448 888 524 or
hilarywakeling@bigpond.com or Pat Marini 07 3207 0456 or
